The Quebec Heating Oil Ossociation (ACM), in consultation with the Association Québécoise des indépendants du Pétrole and leading manufacturers of household tanks, designed a guide on the life expectancy of residential heating oil tanks.
Since each tank is exposed to conditions which differ, for example coastal area installations, wet basement or near roads, this guide is intended for informational purposes only and used to determine the approximate life of steel tanks, inner polyethylene and fiberglass.
