We hold the secret to making your home breathe!

How well is your home breathing?  When a house is not equipped with a mechanical ventilation system, the amount of fresh air entering is hardly predictable. Owing to new construction techniques and materials, houses are now more impervious. As a result, appropriate ventilation is a must.

Pétrole Pagé understands that cool, fresh air during the summer months is important for your home or business. That is why we are dedicated to providing unsurpassed services for the sale, installation, maintenance and repair of all types of air conditioning systems.

  • Central air conditioning systems
  • Wall-mounted air conditioners
  • Heat pumps

Airtight ducts

Pétrole Pagé experts manufacture, repair, modify and install your air ducts to suit your needs.

In accordance with your needs, we identify the best solution for your property. Your interior environment is analyzed in order to optimize your equipment’s performance. Then we will perform a professional installation, according to our high standards, to ensure the quality and sustainability of your HVAC system.

Should You Get Your Heating Ducts Cleaned?

Duct cleaning will not usually change the quality of the air you breathe, nor will it significantly affect airflows or heating costs.

A thorough duct cleaning done by a professional duct cleaner will remove dust and debris—pet hair, paper clips, children’s toys and whatever else might collect down there. Ideally, the inside surface will be shiny and bright after cleaning. Duct cleaning may be justifiable to you personally for that very reason: you may not want to have your house air circulated through a duct passage that is not as clean as the rest of the house.

Heat-recovery ventilators

If possible, opt for a heat recovery ventilator (HRV), as it will help keep your home’s heating bill at an acceptable level.

Please note that the installation of an HRV
is now mandatory
for all new constructions in Québec.

What is the purpose of a mechanical ventilation system?

A mechanical ventilation system is made of two distinct parts: it expels the air of a home outdoors or draws fresh air into the home.

Expelling air serves to evacuate odours, excess humidity and pollutants contained in the home’s ambient air. Drawing in fresh air from outside serves to replace stale air with clean air. These two simultaneous actions play an important part in regularly renewing the indoor air that you breathe.
